About Coffee & Cats

Cat’s Cradle is thrilled to celebrate the opening of its newest venture that is heaven sent for our kitties that just want to play, Harrisonburg’s first cat café, Coffee & Cats.

Cat’s Cradle is a well-established non-profit organization and is joining the trend that may sound familiar to those keeping tabs on the cat café trend. The new Harrisonburg "catfé" follows other cat café concepts across the United States.

All of our lovable kitties come from two shelters, The Shenandoah Valley Animal Service Center or the Page County Shelter. When you book a session at Coffee & Cats, your support will go to fund our spay/neuter program!

Cat lovers can sign up online below for a visit to Coffee & Cats. Come enjoy a complementary cup of coffee and play with kitties. Sessions are $20 for up to 3 people for 30 minutes in a private kitty room. The rooms are colorful, fun and decorated with Instagram lovers in mind! There are t-shirts available and even kitty ears for purchase to complete your look for some amazing photo ops!

Reservations are not required but are encouraged to make sure you get a spot. Children must be at least seven years of age to visit the cats at Coffee & Cats, and everyone must sign an Acknowledgement of Risk Agreement. An adult must sign for youth between the ages of 7 – 17. We are open Monday - Saturday 10:30am - 5pm for Cat Cafe sessions!

The Rooms

We offer two private kitty rooms. Each is decorated with colorful details that will make the most discriminating Instagram follower take notice of your amazing pics! Come enjoy time with one our foster kitties...heck, you might even fall in love and what to adopt your new found friend!

The Kitties

We are careful to select our most friendly kitties for our Coffee & Cats experience. The kitties are all in our foster homes and come for a special visit to the Coffee & Cats Café! All of our kitties have been vaccinated and are ready to show you some fun and love. You never know what types of personalities you will find with our loving foster kitties. Heck, you might want to book both rooms for a visit! Sessions are 30 minutes long and accommodate up to three people per session. *see FAQs for ages and restrictions.

Where is Coffee & Cats?

Coffee & Cats is a little kitty café inside of Cat's Cradle. We are located at 122 South Main Street in Harrisonburg, VA. We are open for Coffee & Cat Sessions on Saturday from 10am - 4:30pm. Your support of this program helps our Spay/Neuter Program!

Does each person need their own ticket?: No! At this time we have two kitty rooms that can be booked. Each room holds up to three people per session. Your booking is for up to three people.
Do I get physical tickets? Do I need to bring anything with me?: You do not need to print your conformation because we have your information in our system and we will check you in upon arrival. (Make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before your visit!)
Do I have to book in advance?: Technically, no. But we HIGHLY, highly recommend it, because we only allow in a limited number of walk-in guests per experience. By booking in advance, you are guaranteed to get kitty-time.
Does each person in my group need to sign their own Acknowledgement of Risk Agreement?: Yes. This is incredibly important for your safety and our kittens’, so you must have your acknowledgment signed prior to your experience. Adults must sign an acknowledgement for children between the ages of 7 – 17. All children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult in the kitty room. We have the forms for you to sign when you arrive!
Why don’t you allow children under 7 years old?: As much as we wish we could, having children under 7 years old is extremely risky for both the children and our kittens. Kittens are very small, incredibly fragile, and quite frankly, unpredictable. For the safety of your babies and ours, we strictly enforce our age policy.
What is your cancellation policy?: You can reschedule your experience 24 hours in advance using the link in your confirmation email. Refunds are not offered for cancelled appointments.
