Introducing our newest team member! Lea recently completed a internship through JMU with her nonprofit studies class. Lea is a native to Broadway Virginia. She is a perspective 2024 in JMU alumni. She is majoring in sociology and independent studies where she is learning about animal welfare organizations. She is minoring in nonprofit studies and honors interdisciplinary studies. Her hobbies include hiking, the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, working on her latest art project, watching YouTube educational videos about various types of animals, or curling up with her cats and a hood book, Tilly, a bottle baby stray she raised, as well as Cat’s Cradle alumni Banjo (Previously Ollie) and Cymbal (Previously Luna). Lea hopes to continue learning about animal welfare, especially and nonprofit organizations. We are so excited to have Lea join the team as an Adoption Counselor!
