Sox

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Alice at 540-560-1774.

Sox is a beautiful 5 years old spayed female black and white Domestic Shorthair cat.

Sox was raised as an only cat in a quiet home, before her owner passed. She is just getting used to all of the adjustments of her temporary living situation, where she is adjusting well to other people and cats. She does have a tendency to pick on more submissive cats, and can be a little nervous or grouchy toward new people until she gets to know them, but this behavior mellows out once she gets to know you, as it seems to only be fear based when she feels out of control. She is a picky eater. If it were up to her, she’d only live on people food, mainly meat. She will eat canned cat food with some meat in it. This is another behavior that might mellow out once she settles in over time. She is litter box trained and rabies vaccinated. She would thrive in a more quiet and laid back home. Please consider this sweet but quirky lady for your forever love and home!

If interested, please contact Alice directly at the number above.

Carson

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Beverley at 540-383-1233.

Carson is a handsome 6 year old neutered male brown tabby with white Domestic Shorthair cat.

Carson is an affectionate, outgoing, playful cat who also enjoys being a couch potato and enjoying mellow time with his human. He would be best as an only cat, as he does not develop good relationships with other cats. Carson gives kisses, and loves to look out the window to watch birds and squirrels. He has only been an indoor kitty in his life, and would need to continue to be indoor only. Carson has had issues with bladder stones, so he needs to be fed a low ash diet, which helps to keep that under control. It is only due to a very difficult situation that Carson has to now find a new home. His owner hopes that this love bug will find a wonderful home with someone who treasures him as much as she does.

If you are interested in adopting Carson, please contact Beverley directly at the number above.

Oskar

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Patty at 540-421-7931.

Oskar is a handsome approximately 8 year old neutered male grey and white tabby Domestic Shorthair cat.

Oskar’s parents say “Oskar was a lonely stray cat in the yard looking to be fed—food was offered, and gradually this pitiful feline to came closer to home. Oskar has beautiful markings and is a sensitive cat. He has been in house now since 2010; well-mannered and neat kitty. Problem with blockage of urinary tract 2 years ago. This was taken care of and now he is fed Royal Canin special food bought at vets to keep this from reoccurring. Oskar cannot get enough lap time; he is so special and needs to be in a caring protective home that is calm. Since we coaxed him inside in 2010, he has not been around dogs or children.” Oskar is only up for adoption now as his loving elderly parents are no longer able to care for him – They would never give him up otherwise, because he’s a true “keeper.”

Please consider adopting this wonderful, loving guy!  If interested, please contact Patty at the number above.

Chessie

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Patty at 540-421-7931.

Chessie is a beautiful 6 year old spayed female orange tabby Manx Domestic Shorthair cat.

Chessie is a very smart cat and has been a wonderfully unique cat to care for and love. Her disposition is adaptive to all situations. Nothing seems to stress her; takes everything in stride. She will seek out a lap to curl up in when it suits her! Has been with many house cats all her life, but no dogs or children. Chessie apparently has a Manx background—she does not have a tail. (Just a cute little stub) She has been, and should be an indoor only cat. Chessie  is only up for adoption now as her loving elderly parents are no longer able to care for her – They would never give her up otherwise, because she’s just wonderful.

Please consider adopting this wonderful, loving lady!  If interested, please contact Patty at the number above.

Boots

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Patty at 540-421-7931.

Boots is a beautiful 6 year old spayed female grey and white Domestic Mediumhair cat.

Boots is ‘super plush’ with a magnificent long tail that flows! Your fingers just sink into her softness. She is “quirky” and likes to nibble your fingers when you stroke her! A way for her to say ‘thanks’ I suppose! Boots loves cuddling up. She has lived in a quiet home with 2 senior citizens and 7 other cats and never exposed to dogs or children. Boots is only up for adoption now as her loving elderly parents are no longer able to care for her – They would never give her up otherwise, because she’s a true “keeper.”

Please consider adopting this wonderful, loving beauty!  If interested, please contact Patty at the number above.

Sami

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Patty at 540-421-7931.

Sami is a beautiful 6 year old spayed female black and white Domestic Mediumhair cat.

Sami’s parents say: “Sami was brought to us in August 2011 by her skinny, timid ‘outdoor cat’ young mother who was searching for someone to help her care for her three little kittens. (We readily took in this family of four.) Now Sami has grown into an adorable cat who pictures herself as a “princess.” Sami likes being the center of attention and enjoys her daily grooming. (she has very fluffy hair) Sami has been in a home with 7 other cats, no dogs or children and pampered by two senior citizens.” Sami is only up for adoption now as her loving elderly parents are no longer able to care for her – They would never give her up otherwise, because she’s a true “keeper.”

Please consider adopting this wonderful, loving princess!  If interested, please contact Patty at the number above.

Felix

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Patty at 540-421-7931.

Felix is a handsome 6 year old neutered male orange tabby Domestic Shorthair cat.

Felix was rescued from the yard during winter of 2013. He “warmed up” to being inside and fit right in with seven other rescued house cats! A lovable boy—enjoys ‘rump rubs’ and lies upside down a lot—a trusting cat! But he misses the outside and ‘escapes’ whenever possible to run out, climb trees, and munch on grass. Probably a rural home where he could enjoy both worlds would be good for Felix. For the past 3 years he has not been around dogs or children; don’t know about the first 3 years of his life. Felix is only up for adoption now as his loving elderly parents are no longer able to care for him – They would never give him up otherwise, because he’s a true “keeper.”

Please consider adopting this wonderful, loving guy!  If interested, please contact Patty at the number above.

Freya

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Chris at 703-608-0272.

Freya is a beautiful 1 year old spayed female Torbie Domestic Shorthair cat.

Freya was a stray that was rescued in Richmond in May. She is up to date on vaccines, and is very sweet and friendly. Her current caregivers learned that, due to a previous injury found by an x-ray, she suffered nerve damage and lost control of her tail and her bowels. This has left her fecal incontinent. She will pee in the litter box, but does not know when poop is coming out. Sometimes it comes out when she goes to pee, but usually there are about 2 or 3 instances that must be cleaned up everyday. Freya deserves a happy life where she can roam free. This new home would either be outdoors, such as in a barn or safe backyard, or with an owner who is willing to put in the effort to clean up after her. Freya is an extremely sweet girl who loves soft beds and attention.

Please consider adopting her! If interested, please contact Chris at the number above.
