Mercury

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Kelly at 540-421-8547 or kfbrownell@gmail.com.

Mercury is a handsome 2 year old male grey and white tuxedo Domestic Shorthair cat.

He is sweet, affectionate and very playful, and enjoys lots of attention. He’s an excellent young cat with lots of purrsonality and love to give. Mercury is FIV+, so he must be an indoor only kitty. He is a healthy guy (has occasional congestion), and can still live with other cats without passing it on, and though it can cause some complications later in life, most FIV+ cats live full, healthy lives. His current caregivers took him in as an abandoned stray in poor health, and nursed him back to good health. They have not introduced Mercury to their other pets, and thus do not know how well he gets along with other animals yet, but are betting he’d so well, since he is so good natured and laid back. It’s adorable when he leaves his little tongue blip out! Mercury is currently in Harrisonburg VA.

If interested in adopting, please contact Kelly directly at the number or email above.

Squinkis and Squee

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Sally at 804-291-7510 or sally.protzman@gmail.com.

Squinkis (Neutered male) and Squee (Spayed female) are gorgeous 11 years young gorgeous solid white Domestic Shorthair cats.

These two wonderful cats are only needing to find new forever homes due to health issues preventing their current caregiver from keeping them.

Squinkis takes his time getting to know new people and will need time to adapt to a new environment.  He is skittish and startles easily, however…once he gets to know you, he is like “The Godfather” – he’ll make you offers you cannot refuse: He will lie on his back and purr for hours and loves belly rubs. He loves to spend a lot of his time outside in good weather but always comes in at night. He is a huntsman and an omnivore and will eat anything from voles, chipmunks to cicadas. He eats what he catches and does not bring home presents. His sister is his lifelong partner and so will need a home where there is room for two. He is affectionate and is used to attention, but he is not clingy. He loves to sit next to you and purr. I just found out today that he has early hyperthyroidism and will need to take meds (these are not expensive). Otherwise, he is healthy and happy.

Squee is mostly an indoor kitty but likes to go out for short periods. She is affectionate, but not clingy – If you overdo the petting, she might let you know with a swat). She is both playful and laid back. Likes to be invited to sit in your lap. Sweet and adoring. She likes to play with you and not with cat toys – with ribbon, a branch, etc. Much more interested in a paper bag than a kitty bed. She is crazy sweet. This pair of cats is used to safe access to outdoors, attention, interaction and a good diet and I their caregiver is looking for a similar situation. In return for your TLC, this cat will love you up. No known health issues.

This precious pair are looking for a forever home to spend their golden years together. Please consider Squee and Squinkis for your forever loves and home!
If interested, please contact Sally DIRECTLY with questions or interest in adopting. They are located in Richmond VA.

Mia

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Jessica at 540-241-2743 or jess.sours@gmail.com.

Mia is a gorgeous spayed 10-11 year old female calico Domestic Shorthair cat.

Mia is an outgoing and friendly cat but can be territorial at times and slightly aggressive. Her friendly personality definitely outweighs the aggressive tendency. She has lived with another dog and cat but I think she would prefer to be the only pet. When other pets are around she tends to retreat to an area where she is out of reach but doesn’t fight with them. She is a beautiful cat and loves to be rubbed as she sits on your lap! Please consider giving this lovely lady a loving forever home.

If interested, please contact Jessica at the number or email above.

If interested, please contact Elena at the number or email listed.

Gus

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals.  If interested, contact Janla at 540-255-3721 or Simplymeandbailey@gmail.com

Gus is a gorgeous 3 year old neutered male, orange Tabby Domestic Shorthair cat.

Gus and his siblings (Mimi and Miller) came to live with his current owner in 2014 as kittens.  All three cats are in need of a warm and loving forever home.   He is adventurous (somewhat nosy) and loves to explore the outdoors.  He can be timid but once he gets to know you he accepts your love.  Gus hurt his tail this summer and had to have a partial amputation, but has healed well.  He is litter box trained and current with his rabies vaccination.  The current owner has recently moved to a subdivision and is not certain about letting the cats outside due to the increase of traffic.  She would love to find a home where Gus could roam the outdoors and be allowed the privilege of coming inside when he wants.  The ideal situation would allow Gus to have his siblings with him.  There three would make wonderful barn cats.

If interested, please contact Janla at the listed number.

This beautiful girl is looking for her forever home.  She can be very playful and loving on her own terms.  She can get sassy at times and will hiss, bite and swat when nervous.  She loves living somewhere that she can be an indoor/outdoor kitty as she loves to hunt.  She would thrive best in a home as an only pet with an adult owner.  She does not do well with cats, dogs or small children.  Arty likes to lay on her owner and sleep.  She is litter box trained and her last rabies vaccination was in 2015.

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals.  If interested, contact Janla at 540-255-3721 or Simplymeandbailey@gmail.com

Miller is a handsome three year old neutered male, orange Tabby Domestic Shorthair cat.

In April 2014, Miller and his siblings (Mimi and Gus) came to live with their current owner.  She has worked with socializing the cats and they have came a long ways.  Miller is the shy and gentle kitty.  He absolutely loves to cuddle and purrs loudly.  He has lived as an indoor/outdoor cat and is litter box trained.  Miller and his siblings are searching for their forever home where they can be allowed to roam outside safely with the option to come inside.  He is cautious around the dog that lives with him presently and would probably do well with other dogs if introduced gradually.  Miller will need his rabies vaccine.

If interested, please contact Janla at the listed email address.

Mimi is a three year old spayed female Tortoiseshell Domestic Shorthair cat.

Mimi was born in April of 2014 along with three siblings.  Her current owner still has Mimi and her two brothers, Gus and Miller.  Mimi is very independent.  She has lived as an indoor/outdoor kitty her whole life.  Her owner has recently moved to a subdivision and does not feel comfortable letting the cats out with an increase in traffic. She would love to find a home for Mimi.  It would be ideal if Mimi and her brothers were adopted together, but not necessary.  Mimi would do well in a location with safe wooded places to roam and would make a wonderful barn cat.  She has received her rabies vaccine.  She is cautious with the dog she presently lives with. She would probably do well with other dogs if introduced gradually.

Lucy and Pinkie

**URGENT** Need to have new home by TUESDAY, JANUARY 16th

Lucy and Pinkie are posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals.  If interested, contact World Animal Guardians at 434-326-8072 or worldanimalguardians@gmail.com

Lucy is a lovely 13 year old spayed female beagle dog. She is a roughly 40lb laid back senior gal, very friendly and sweet. Lucy gets along great with cats and other dogs. Lucky (and her cat sibling Pinkie) are in need of a new home because their mommy is going into assisted living, and will not be able to take them with her.

Pinkie is a beautiful 10 year old female white Domestic Longhair cat. She can be a little timid with strangers at first, but warms up quickly and is very loving and friendly within moments. Pinkie currently lives with her doggie sibling Lucy, and loves dogs, but is not so keen on other cats. Pinkie has hyperthyroidism, (easy to manage, and medication not expensive), and it is managed with the medication she is taking.

The family of Lucy and Pinkie’s human mom have made it clear that finding another home soon through rehoming is their only, last chance, as they will be euthanized otherwise. This bonded pair deserve a loving home together to live out their golden years. If you cannot take them permanently, please consider reaching out to their contact person if you can foster them even for a short time. Please consider adopting, and share with others please.
