Sully

This dog is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals.  If interested, contact Hannah (540-908-7741)  or Ian (540-421-0350).

Sully is a handsome 7 year old neutered male Boston / Beagle mix dog.

Sully is a bit of an energetic coach potato. These days, he mostly wants to snuggle and nap, however, if he wants to bark or it is time to play he is quite energetic for short bursts.

His current family says: “Sully is a good boy at heart and, in the right home, will be a cherished addition– we know because he has been for us for the last 7 years. Unfortunately, we can no longer safely manage his behavioral challenges with our young child in the home. We are committed to finding the right home for Sully where he will be loved, safe, and receive lots of snuggles (from adults). He has never met an adult human (or older child 13+) who he does not love almost immediately. He has the softest fur of any dog I’ve ever pet, and even though his little face is now beginning to grey, he is very cute in a puppy-like way.” He is house trained, neutered, and vaccinated. He is currently living in Harrisonburg, VA.

If you’d like to give this precious guy a loving forever home, please contact Hannah or Ian at the phone numbers above.

Sammie and Groucho

These cats are posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Rita at 540-280-6393 or ritalynn1981@gmail.com

Sammie is an adorable 5 month old neutered male solid black Domestic Shorthair cat.

Groucho is a precious 5 month old neutered male black and white tuxedo Domestic Shorthair cat.

Sammie and Groucho were born to a stray cat that had them in our garage. We’ve been working with them and they have come a long ways as far as being tame. Both love to be rubbed, and have gotten on their caretaker’s lap. They are not crazy about being picked up, though once they trust you, they will allow it. Both love to play with toys. They are NOT mean, maybe a little feisty and scaredy.  Their caretaker feels sure if he and his brother were around people for a longer period of time and on a more consistent basis, they would warm up even more. They just need lots of attention, patience, and diligent contact. She would love to see them adopted together, since they seem to be bonded. They are rabies vaccinated, neutered, and live indoors only. They are currently living in Verona, VA

If you’d like to give one or both of these sweet, shy brothers a loving forever home, please contact Rita directly at the phone number or email above.

Brat is a handsome 12 year old neutered male, front paw declawed Sealpoint Siamese mix Domestic Shorthair cat.

Please meet Bear and Brat; Two cats in need of a new home. Both are very friendly, and like to be around people. Both like to lay on your lap, or beside you. Brat has chronic watery eyes and sniffles, but requires no medication. Both are indoor only house cats with all shots, well cared for, and live to lay beside you or in your lap. Front paws have been declawed. They are in need of a new home as this year their elderly owners both suffered from illnesses that doesn’t allow them to continue to care for them. With no family able to take them, they need help ASAP. These two cats were their children, and it would break their hearts if they couldn’t find a good home to go to to spend their golden years. They are currently in Tom’s Brook, VA.

If you’d like to give one or both of these sweet guys a loving forever home, please contact Marie directly at the phone number or email above.

Tweedledee and Tweedledum

These cats are posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals.  If interested, contact Justine at 540-333-5077 or jfchorley@hotmail.com.

Tweedledee and Tweedledum are adorable 5 month old neutered male brothers.

Tweedledee is grey and white, and Tweedledum is black and white.

These little guys were born as strays, and will need some time and patience in order to learn how to be the confident and affectionate cats they can be.

Tweedledee does like to be pet, and purrs while he is being petted. He loves treats and will eat them out of his caretaker’s hand. He will tolerate being picked up and carried.

Tweedledum need some extra time and patience too. He is a lot shyer than his brother, Tweedledee, and may take longer to adjust. He would do better if he could be adopted with his brother. He has warmed up to his caregiver, will eat out of her hand, and enjoys being petted on his terms. He can be picked up but doesn’t like to be carried.

They are both neutered, rabies vaccinated, litter box trained, and would ideally live indoors only. Both get along with other cats and dogs. They need a quiet home to really shine – a home with lots of activity and small children would not be best. They are currently living in Luray, VA.
