Brownie and Jet

These cats are posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Sarah at 240-727-9174 or starlit714@yahoo.com.

Brownie is a handsome 1 year old neutered male black with faint brown stripes (ghost tabby) Domestic Shorthair cat.

Jet is a beautiful 1 year old spayed female black with faint brown stripes (ghost tabby) Domestic Shorthair cat.

Brownie is a sweetheart and very calm and loving to people, but can be more energetic, playful and rambunctious when other animals are around. He can be really independent, but loves to be around people and other cats. He may have a bit of separation anxiety from previous owners that threw him outside while he was sick and this is where his caretaker found him to save his life. He deserves a great home where he has plenty of room to play, run and explore. He seems to prefer indoors due to his previous experience. He loves other cats but he plays rough, so he would do best paired with his sister Jet, or other young, feisty cats who like to play rough too, are adaptable and well adjusted.  He has some dog like qualities, including that he loves to play and chase balls that are thrown. He even brings the ball back at times! He loves to meow and has said “mom” many times when hes happy to see his caretaker, or really wants out of the room he is currently staying in at his rescuers house.

Jet is a wonderful, loving little girl. She loves to get attention, and she LOVES to eat. Sometimes when you go to pet her she’ll do a little jump so your hand will meet her head. She loves to knead your stomach and blankets more than actual cuddling, but once she warms up, she will definitely cuddle on the couch. She loves to be outside, and might could be an indoor / outdoor cat, but it would be important to do a very slow transition to be sure she didn’t run away, and should live away from busy roads.  She is adorable, and will “sing” loudly to you the whole time you’re making her dinner in the evenings, but other than that, doesn’t meow much unless she wants to go outside. Such a cute personality. She loves to play, and if you throw a tennis ball she will run after it to catch it!

These two siblings would love to find a home together, but could be separated if an adopter is interested in just one or the other. If you’d like to give these wonderful, beautiful cats a loving forever home, please contact Sarah directly at the phone number or email above.

Davy Crockett

This dog is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Carla at 540-271-2900 or carlatcarrillo@yahoo.com.

Davy Crockett is a handsome 9-10 year old neutered male German Shepherd mix dog.

He is a very loving and affectionate dog that had a loving companion for the last 7 years who has passed away. He needs someone that can spend time with him in his senior years and be his loving companion. He will love them in return and be very loyal to them. He is very friendly and loves treats. He is also housebroken and rabies vaccinated.

*BITE HISTORY* – The new owner definitely needs to know about his bite history that most likely stems from some type of trauma as a puppy and young dog, and be willing to be patient with him and love him and work with him. He has broken skin but never bitten all the way, and never seriously hurt anyone. Because of this bite history, an experienced dog owner would be recommended, and he should be the only pet – no cats, small children, and probably best as the only dog.

Davy really is a wonderful dog, who needs just the right loving, patient companion.

If you would like to give this sweet, loving guy who has had some rough life circumstances a loving forever home for his senior years, please contact Carla directly at the phone number or email above.

Please meet Bear and Brat; Two cats in need of a new home. Both are very friendly, and like to be around people. Both like to lay on your lap, or beside you. Brat has chronic watery eyes and sniffles, but requires no medication. Both are indoor only house cats with all shots, well cared for, and live to lay beside you or in your lap. Front paws have been declawed. They are in need of a new home as this year their elderly owners both suffered from illnesses that doesn’t allow them to continue to care for them. With no family able to take them, they need help ASAP. These two cats were their children, and it would break their hearts if they couldn’t find a good home to go to to spend their golden years. They are currently in Tom’s Brook, VA.

Momma, Bruce, Mittens and Smudge

***Urgent – These kitties MUST find new homes by Wednesday, December 12th. If you can be their Christmas Miracle, or if you can please share their info, it would be greatly appreciated***

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Lori at 540-335-2392 at fortune6kids@gmail.com.

Momma is a beautiful 4 year old spayed female black and white tuxedo Domestic Shorthair cat.She is pretty outgoing, and loves jumping up on her person’s lap, and sleep with you at night. She has been living as an indoor / outdoor cat, going out in the day, and enjoys taking walks with you, but comes in at night to cuddle up in bed. So it would be best if she lived in an area that is not near a major road for safety. She gets along with other cats, but is not fond of dogs. She is spayed, litter box trained, and current on rabies vaccine.

Bruce is a handsome 2 and a half year old neutered male black and white tuxedo Domestic Shorthair cat. He starts out a bit shy, and thus would do best in a quieter home (he hides from small children) however he gets along with other cats and dogs, and loves to play.

Mittens is a handsome 2 and a half year old neutered male black and white tuxedo Domestic Shorthair cat. Like his brother, starts out a bit shy, and thus would do best in a quieter home (he hides from small children) however he gets along with other cats and dogs, and loves to play.

Smudge is a beautiful 2 and a half year old spayed female grey and white Domestic Shorthair cat. Like her brothers, shestarts out a bit shy, and thus would do best in a quieter home (he hides from small children) however he gets along with other cats and dogs, and loves to play. She is very curious.

All of the kittens also enjoy coming in to sleep in bed with you at night, two of them enjoy drinking water from the faucet, and are affectionate cats once you win them over with patience and love. Because they enjoy their outdoor time to, they would likely make excellent barn cats with home access at night.

They are currently living in New Market, VA. Please consider giving one or all of these sweet cats a loving forever home.

If interested, please contact Lori directly at the phone number or email above.

Fitz

This animal is posted as a rehome, which is a service outside of Cat’s Cradle to help owners find new homes for their animals. If interested, contact Kelly Welker at 804-699-0309, or kellylwelker@gmail.com.

Fitz is a stunning, 4-5 year old neutered, male black Domestic Shorthair cat.

“Hi, my name is Fitz.  I had been fending for myself for a long time and was struggling to survive.  I lived at a beautiful state park in the campground area, but there was no one that regularly fed me.  One day recently, a nice lady saw me that was camping there and she promised her dying kitty that she had with her that she would try to help me.  She could tell I was probably not feral, as people will assume when a cat keeps their distance outside, and I was very hungry when she gave me a meal.  She came back for me a few weeks later and I have been welcoming a safe, dry and warm place to sleep. I value my constant access to a meal, but I tend to wait for the nice lady to come back to eat, just in case I am left again.  I enjoy spending time with the new lady, but I really need to find a place that can help me find my forever indoor home. I want nothing more than to be your constant friend in the safety of a loving home. I was already neutered and have been vaccinated, dewormed, tested and treated for those itchy fleas.  I am blind in one eye due to a cataract. The vet does not believe it is a problem now or will be in the future, but it added to my struggle of surviving on my own outside.”

He is currently living in Disputanta, VA (south of Richmond).

If interested, please contact Kelly at the number/email above.
